Posted: Wednesday, April 7, 2010 - 10:00

Crossroads for Growth in New Jersey is focused on providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) assistance to children with autism and their families. Crossroads is one of the organizations that participated in World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD), which is one of only 3 specific United Nations disease days. The founder of Crossroads, Linda Lajterman, explains “Families struggle to obtain the necessary services for their autistic children and are constantly fighting with schools for proper placement and home programs.” Many autism support programs participated in WAAD; here are but a few: Arion Theraputic Farm; Centre Orchidée Home; Association Respir Burgundy; and Sensory Time.
